One of our dear community members, Felicity, has created a scrim playlist as a part of Scrimba's Teach Talent Program! Felicity was a Frontend Developer for over 20 years, but after taking a break, she had to go back and learn some of the fundamentals.
βThis mini-course will cover different types of loops and iteration methods, and when you should use them. Felicity also covers some unexpected behaviors of loops that even trip up Senior Developers!
This world needs more online coding teachers. So this program aims to help aspiring coding instructors kick-start their career. Sound interesting? Learn more here!
Big congratulations to all the Scrimba students whoβve landed jobs this week! π₯³ π

Mat has been hired for a second Frontend Developer position! He taught himself HTML and CSS and built some websites for fun, and then came to Scrimba for JS and React and everything clicked into place!
He is currently a Junior Frontend dev, and will now have a second job at the same time! Way to hustle.. keep up the great work and let us know how you get on.πͺ

After finishing Module 7 in the Career Path, Elin got inspired, and combined her new JavaScript skills with her existing illustrating skills! As a result, meet Al the art-bot: make a wish for some robot generated drawings!
Elin put some of the CSS animation skills that she learned from the Career Path into use, and tried out some animations in JavaScript.
Elin says: βThere are so many new things that I had to learn or repeat from the Scrimba courses in order to create this. I really recommend making a project from scratch to learn and apply what youβve learnt in a different context.β
See the live deployment hereβ
What have you built this week? Share it with us in the π·i-built-this channel!

Meet Patrick Akil π³π±! Patrick is a software engineer, Golang trainer, and the host of the Beyond Coding podcast. In this interview, he shares his story of becoming a developer and talks about everything beyond coding - mindset, mental health, life- and soft skills. By the way, this is the 100th episode of the Scrimba podcast! π
βIn this episode, you will learn how to become a better team player and what being a good communicator actually entails. Patrick will teach you how to find your strengths even if youβre not the best coder in the world, why mental health is important, and how creating genuine connections with your coworkers benefits everybody. You will also hear how Patrick pivoted to coding after initially missing an opportunity to study it at a university and how he learned from consultants from a company he later worked for!

Learning to code is an uphill battle for sureβ¦ but itβs worth it in the end!
This week, Leanne and Michael coded up a stopwatch using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. By the end of the stream, they were able to code a stopwatch that starts, stops, resets and records laps!
This stopwatch can be used for timing anything from a race to the time it takes to cook a dish. Whether you're a web developer or not, this is a great stream to watch if you want to learn how to code a stopwatch!
They looked at:
β±οΈ Starting the stopwatch
β±οΈ Stopping the stopwatch
β±οΈ Reset functionality
β±οΈ Recording laps
